History lesson: Ex-Guilford standout Brad Ring enjoys soccer from the stands

For all the time and effort spent discussing basketball and football, soccer has long been perhaps Rockford's best sport.

Thanks to Sportscore I and Sportscore II, Rockford has been a mecca for youth soccer and we've produced a number of professional players. Brad Ring was the last in a line of five players who eventually made it to Major League Soccer, the highest level in the United States.
