History Lesson: Freeport champion swimmer never really left the pool

In NIC-10 girls swimming history, the two greatest talents to glide through the water are Lisa Coole of Guilford and Emily Pisula of Freeport. Lisa, unfortunately, died young in a traffic accident. Emily is training a new generation of swimmers in Monroe, Wisconsin.

When contacted by the History Book about being the next in a series of stories, she replied, "Wow, 20 years.... that makes me feel extremely old."

Pisula, now Emiy Paradis, stays young by staying involved in the sport she loved growing up, began to hate in college and rediscovered as a coach. Click here to see the latest history lesson.
